Ch. 10 summary

                        Brian tries to keep the fire going. He finds eggs from a turtle and eats them raw. The first egg was very greasy.  At the end of the chapter, he hopes the searchers would find him before he eats all the eggs.

Ch. 11 summary

            Brian finds turtle eggs. He eats them raw. He lost a lost of weight and he is tanned. At the lake, he saw a bird eating a fish.  He kept getting firewood to keep the fire going. He was depressed because his parents hadn’t found him yet. He wants to get a signal fire ready. He out that there were fish in the lake and that fish was food. He walked out into the water and started looking at the fish and tried to catch one with his hands but he couldn’t so he thought and he is going to make a spear to catch fish with.

Ch. 12 summary

            Brian makes a spear to catch fish but it does not work. A plane flies by, he makes a big bonfire, and it keeps flying. He thinks he might never leave the Canadian woods. He made the spear and it didn’t work. He ate some turtle eggs and some berries. He felt full and looked down at his stomach and it was still caved. He started hearing the motor of the plane so he ran back to camp to get the smoke up but they didn’t return.
