   Chapter 7

 I GO to Bristol

It was longer than the squire imagined they were ready for the sea. None of their plans were followed. Jim had to stay at the squire’s place with the gamekeeper. One day there came a letter addressed to the doctor. The letter said that the doctor had got a ship. It was bought and fitted, and it name was Hispaniola. The doctor had already got people to work on the ship. Then the letter told the gamekeeper to let Jim go and see his mother for one night. When Jim got to his mother she was in good health and sprits. The squire had had every thing repaired in the house. The squire even had a boy helping his mother, so she did not do everything by herself. The next day the gamekeeper and Jim caught a ride to a town called Bristol. When they got there they met the squire and he said that they would sail the next day.
