After finding out his mother was out of jail and
wanted him back, Gerald's legal guardian, his Aunt Queen, dies so he is
forced to go back with her. While he's there he gets to know about
his abusive stepfather and what he does for fun. Gerald also meets
his younger stepsister, Angel who is normally the target of Jordan's
abuse. Gerald grows to love Angel and he learns to protect her
from his abusive stepfather, Jordan. Gerald stands up for Angel and
himself in one last battle to keep them all safe.
