Chapter 7

Gerald and Angel come inside for a glass of water. Instead of a glass of water they find Aunt Queen lying on the floor beside her wheelchair. They call the paramedics. Before they make it to the hospital Aunt Queen dies in the ambulance.

Chapter 8

It’s two weeks until Christmas and Gerald moves in with his new family. Gerald finds out life with his new family is not easy. He learns that Angel is often abused by Jordan and wears black tights to cover it up. Monique does not pay attention when Jordan abuses Angel, all she does is sit in the room and let him do it. Jordan also drinks a lot.
